How to make a desktop image with text in which the larger a name is, the more times it appears in a list, in this case my iTunes library. So for instance i have the most Death Cab for cutie songs and so forth. and it is really quite simple and is really awesome. the first thing you need to do is go into iTunes (or whatever program you use, for most of us it's iTunes) and hit ctrl+a for select all. then hit ctrl+c for copy. open up microsoft excel (or any spreadsheet program) and click so the top left box is highlighted. it should post each section from your iTunes into their own columns. then click the first artist and scroll to the bottom and hold shift and click the last artist. it should highlight all of the artists. hit ctrl+c to copy them. then go to www.wordle.net and click on "create." in the input box, hit ctrl+v to paste all the names. now what you need to do is highlight them all again (ctrl+a) and copy them (ctrl+c). this gets rid of the boxes that are around them in excel. now open up microsoft word (or bbedit) and paste this into a new file. to ctrl+a to highlight everything and then ctrl+f to do a find. click on "replace" and in the first field, just hit spacebar. do nothing in the second field and then hit replace all. this should repleace all of the spaces, so the artists get put into world as one word and not seperate words. for instance Fall Out Boy would go in as fall, out, and boy if you didn't get rid of the spaces. now repeat this process with any ! or & or , or others exclamations that may be in names (wordle doesn't like them) when you're done, copy this list and paste it into the wordle input (you should have deleted the old names that had spaces) then hit generate or go or whatever..voila! you can mess around with wordle to customize it all you want. This is no an accurate representation of your musical taste. to make it your wallpaper hit "window" inside wordle to open the wordle in a seperate window. drag the window to make it as large as you can (to fit the screen) and take a screen shot of it. im not sure how to on windows, on mac use the utility "grab." open the screenshot in paint of photoshop or whatever, and highligh just the wordle part that you want out of everything (if you're on mac you can do this in grab before you take the shot). then you'll copy this, paste it into a new file so you have just the wordle as itself, and then set it as your background. yay.

I figured out how to alter the sidebar thing on my tumblr. so now there's cool links and shit. :) today at school was kinda better. but I'm still just going to wait it out and see how things go :3 I kinda want this year to be over already. xD I mean. yeah, next year I'll have senior shit, but maybe band will be cool. and my senior stuff won't be so bad. I'm just gonna play it out. yay~ :D

and now I'm just kinda chill. with everything. even finals that are tomorrow. :3 and the day after that. then prom dress shopping. *BANGBANG* IHATEWEARINGADRESS.
